—————
I'm chelsea lingerfeldt, owner and maker at chelsea faith ceramics. I was born and raised in metro Detroit, Michigan and moved to Nashville 8 years ago. I spent most my childhood on a boat in the summers with my large family, traveling with my parents and hanging with my 3 siblings. I started taking a ceramic class when my son was 9 months old. I instantly fell in love with the art form. almost 2 years later I started selling my work in February of 2020! I love to spend as much time as I can at my wheel or painting. when I'm not doing ceramics, I'm spending time with my kiddo and partner or checking out as many new spots in Nashville as I can with my pals.
iced miso caramel lattes from Elegy
I don't know about y'all but I am a sucker for an iced latte. if I have any vice, I'd say it's lattes. my studio is conveniently located next to Elegy in East Nashville! I start every single work day by going into Elegy, talking with the crew and grabbin an iced miso caramel latte. I usually stay in there for longer than I need to but they are all so lovely and I usually spend the next 6 hours by myself. the miso caramel is the perfect mix of a little sweet but creamy in a non-diary way. it's delicious! a must if you want to try something new. not to mention, their bob burrito right now is absolute fire. I could go on and on about how much I love elegy + everyone who works there.
PILATES!
I turned 35 this year and while I thought I was pretty fit/active, pilates quickly taught me that I was in fact not in any active shape. I signed up for a one month unlimited plan at Meliora in East Nashville because if I know myself, I need to give it my all or it won't stick! After 4 weeks of going 3 times a week, I was hooked! I have been going to classes for 6 months now and can tell how much it helps physically and mentally. plus, I can now keep up with my 6 year old without feeling short of breath. phew.
Parks and Rec
this summer I felt like we went through every single show we could on every single streaming platform. recently we were striking out and feeling lost on what else to watch, so we turned to one of our favorite shows, Parks and Recreation. its the perfect thing to watch before we snooze. I always forget how much I love Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson.
therapy - EMDR!
I started REALLY going to therapy last fall. I dove into finding a therapist that specializes in trauma therapy and does EMDR. I have to say this was an absolute life changing experience. I knew I had some stuff I had to process but actually going to therapy and doing the work was beyond anything I could have imagined. I feel like I'm living a completely different life now and I encourage all my loved ones to find an amazing therapist.
staycations
we recently had a family staycation at the Opryland hotel and did 2 days at Soundwaves, the water park. it was FREAKING FUN!! I have lived in Nashville for 8 years and cannot believe it has taken me this long to check it out. we have a dog so vacations always feel hard to plan but doing a staycation here and there is definitely going to be a thing as often as we can make it happen.
